Fruttose In-House Chef Showcases 6 Innovative Raya Cake Creations
On 5 February 2026, we hosted an exclusive Raya Cake Demonstration at the Fruttose Kitchen in Kota Kemuning, led by Chef Shiqin, Fruttose’s in-house chef. The session was attended by invited customers who were given the opportunity to explore new ideas and techniques for creating innovative Raya desserts.
Creating the “Kek Raya T20”
During the demonstration, Chef Shiqin introduced the concept of “Kek Raya T20”, a creative take on traditional Raya flavours and familiar Malaysian favourites. The concept focuses on transforming nostalgic flavours into modern cake and dessert creations that are visually appealing while still retaining the flavours customers know and love.
The Innovative Raya Cake Creations
The demonstration featured six unique cake and dessert recipes, each offering a different interpretation of familiar flavours:
Pandan Coconut Mango Cheesecake– A creamy cheesecake combining fragrant pandan, coconut and Fruttose Mango Filling & Topping 85%.
Pulut Durian Cheese Mousse Cake– A rich combination of durian, pulut and creamy cheese mousse.
Banana Caramel Cookies– Sweet Fruttose Banana Filling and Caramel Topping paired with a crunchy cookie texture.
Pineapple Crumble Tart– A tangy Fruttose Pineapple Filling & Topping finished with a buttery crumble topping.
Pomegranate Tiramisu– A refreshing twist on classic tiramisu with Fruttose Pomegranate Filling & Topping.
Apam Balik Éclair– A modern éclair inspired by the famous desserts of Malaysian apam balik.
Reimagining Familiar Flavours
These creations demonstrated how familiar Malaysian flavours can be transformed into contemporary desserts through creative flavour pairing, modern techniques and presentation. From pandan, coconut and mango to nostalgic favourites such as durian, pulut and apam balik, each recipe offered a fresh perspective on flavours commonly enjoyed during festive celebrations.
The Chef Demo Raya Cake session reflects Fruttose’s commitment to inspiring customers with new product applications and creative dessert ideas. Through the Kek Raya T20 concept, Malaysian traditional flavours are given a modern makeover, creating desserts that are both familiar and exciting.
